Getting a chain and sprockets replaced

Jul,2018

After getting home from the Ice Hockey game I noticed that the chain needs to be tentioned. I merrily proceeded and then noticed a kink in the chain and that it was hitting the chain guard. Tripple checking the back wheel and alignment I was satisfied that the wheel was straight. Not being in the mood for sorting it out myself I then took Katie the 390 Duke to KTM on Saturday. My dad followed me in case I had to leave the bike there which turned out to be the case. Then it was time to go eat some steak. Here’s the vlog on the way to KTM.

A ride to an Ice Hockey game

I took a ride early Sunday morning to an Ice Hockey game where my cousin was playing. It was quite cold but an enjoyable ride. Maybe I enjoyed it as I haven’t been on the bikes much. It was a relatively quiet ride and enjoyed the game a lot. I did however notice brake fluid on the rear of the bike when I got home and sorted that all out as the brake fluid bottle cap seemed to have leaked a bit. Then I noticed the chain needed to be tension-ed again and proceeded to do that. Low and behold after working on the chain I noticed it needed replacement but will get to that in another post. Check out the vlog on Youtube to see my ride to the game and a bit of local Ice Hockey action. Till next time, keep the rubber on the road and think for everyone else around you when riding.

Throw back to the old and time to start vlogging again

I haven’t been riding much since I got my 390 Duke (Katie) back. A bit over a year since my accident and my left arm is still quite weak. I took Katie out to a Cafe Racer day and twice to the office though. A post and some video of the Cafe Racer day will be uploaded soon as I’m quite eager to get back on the bike tomorrow and start vlogging again. Here’s a throw back to the 3rd bike I ever owned which I miss quite a lot. Feast your eyes below on my Suzuki GSXR 400 which was an amazing bike to ride. I can’t recall the year model and if memory serves me correctly it only red lined at 12000 rpm but I might be wrong. The baffles were removed by the previous owner and it screamed like a Banshee. The GSXR 400 was an awesome bike to ride but not comfortable at all on longer trips. Needless to say the longest trip we did in a day was just over 400km. Would love to get my hands on one again.

It’s been a while since I’ve been vlogging. Mostly due to changing jobs and the cold weather.
